Blausplaining (Verb) /ˈbloʊs.pleɪ.ɪn/

the act of explaining something to someone in a way that makes them feel like they're a clueless idiot, even though they probably know more about the topic than you do. It's like mansplaining, but with a side of smugness.

I'm going to blausplain patriarchy to you now.

I know you probably already know this, but I'm going to explain it to you anyway.

The topic of patriarchy is very complex, but I'm going to try my best to explain it to you in a way that you can understand.

Patriarchy is a system of social organization in which men hold the primary positions of power in society. This system is characterized by the belief that men are superior to women, and that men should have more rights and privileges than women.
