Blandalism

An urban interventionist movement whereby the notion of vandalism is subverted. The intention is to comment on control and permission while responding to the urban landscape. Karl Umber is credited as the Founder of the Blandalist movement.
Painting a brown bench brown in a public space without permission from the city is an act of Blandalism.
