A name used for a person who pays to travel to space. But has no traditional astronaut training.

In 2021, the first astronots travelled to space, such as Sir Richard Branson.

A person who typically has no aeronautics formal training yet is well versed and informed on the subject of space exploration; especially when it deals with historical space missions. A NASA mascot, fanboy, space themed social media influencer (i.e. - TikTok, Instagram)

The TikTok AstroNOT makes informative videos on space and astronauts, yet has never been to space & is NOT employed by NASA.
