wordtist

A person who uses descriptive (often scientific) words without having knowledge/understanding about the aspects of said word.

Typically these people augment their ego, by appearing to be knowledgeable in the field of said words.

Most commonly these people use eloquent language, and have more knowledge of words/language than of any specialised science/art.

Example:

Hathen: This field of science makes string theory seem easy.

Hathen knows close to nothing about string theory, other than the word itself.

Commonly, these people have a little, tip of the iceberg level, knowledge of what they said.

This is a sub part of Wordicians. (people who use descriptive words/language to establish superiority)
Hathen: This game's complexity makes string theory seem easy.

Hathen does not know anything about string theory, other than the word itself.

Colham: Chemistry is pretty easy in our syllabus, I find difficulty in linguistics. We do valance shells.

Colham has no comprehensive knowledge of Chemistry in his syllabus, barely knows what valancy is.

Nikara: Every biological cell in the cortex of my brain is telling me not to do that.

Nikara does not know anything about cells, does not know what a cortex is, only knows those words themselves.

Hathen, Colham and Nikara are wordtists.

wordist

A wordist is someone who believes that words have absolute meaning. This is another term for word fundamentalism. When people love certain words, the sound of the word, or the imagined meaning, they are often willing to kill or die for the belief in that word or idea it represents to them. Words all define each other, around in an endless circle, and no word has any absolute meaning. Wordists fail to realize this and should read the undictionary to help get the world out of the present fundamentalist wars.
"Eddy" was such a wordist that he believed in being proud to serve the country he loved. He went to war to kill people, (or get killed himself), who were also wordists in the country that they loved. They both absolutely believed in many words and concepts as if these words were actual things that had meaning, instead of words, just being hints to really communicate and get us where we need to go.
