(v) The style was originally practiced by young funk dancers and is derived from the positions people were drawn in the days of the Ancient Egyptians. It is these positions seen in these portraits that have been adopted by dancers today. So when you "tut" you change the angles of your arms according to the beat. Those who are more experienced pop when changing from angle to angle thus refining the style. Tutting is still a greatly respected move and King Tut aka Mark Benson is widely acclaimed for pioneering the style.

finger tutting

Tutting originally started as an old type of dance, mimicking the moves that Ancient Egyptians used to do, nowadays it is a very angular dance using arms, hands and even fingers. Finger tutting makes angular shapes in a continuous routine, there is great variation in these moves so dancers can be creative and that's why it's so popular amongst them.

Check that mother fucker's finger tutting! Damn those are some weird shapes.

Tatting

Tatting is the act of reproducing/mirroring and capturing on video, Tattoo's famous line from the opening credits of the 1977+ ABC television show Fantasy Island, where Tattoo boldly announces atop of a bell tower, "De dlane, De plane!". In order for a tatting to be correct, "De Plane" must be said twice and the Tatter must be pointing skyward.

There are two forms of Tatting that are reserved for advanced tatters only:

1) If you are actually pointing to a real plane

2) If a bell sound is captured immediately prior to the tatting.

I just posted the best tatting to my Facepage. I was Tatting on a Gay Pride Parade float AND there was a 727 in the sky. I rock!

tufting

Also pronounced "tuftin." When a person (usually female, but not exclusively) wears a garment so low cut that the top of the pubic hair shows. Usually applies to underwear, but there are more extreme cases of tufting out of trousers or a skirt.

"I shouldn't have worn these knickers. I'm tufting! I need a bikini wax.
