Tolyamory

A relationship style or mindset where a person is tolerant of polyamory but does not necessarily participate in it themselves. Someone who practices tolyamory may support or accept a partner having multiple romantic or intimate relationships while personally remaining monogamous or emotionally exclusive.

“I’m not poly, but I’m okay with my partner dating other people — I guess you could call that tolyamory.”

“They have a tolyamorous relationship; she’s supportive of his other partners but prefers to stay monogamous herself.”

tolyamorous (adjective): “He identifies as tolyamorous.”

tolyamorist (noun): “She’s a tolyamorist who prefers one-on-one emotional bonds.”
