In mathematics, topology (from the Greek τόπος, place, and λόγος, study) is concerned with the properties of space that are preserved under continuous deformations, such as stretching, crumpling and bending, but not tearing or gluing. This can be studied by considering a collection of subsets, called open sets, that satisfy certain properties, turning the given set into what is known as a topological space. Important topological properties include connectedness and compactness.

Using topology, you can figure out why a hole in a hole in a hole is just like a three-handled coffee cup.

Turdology

The scientific study of turds. Although not traditionally recognized as a legitimate field of scientific research, Turdology has recently made some breakthroughs that have revolutionized the field. This recent progress is largely the result of the work of a group of Australian Turdologists who have for many years conducted extensive research sheep and other farmyard animals.

Turdologists employ the use of cutting edge technology and are admired by scientists in other fields of research for the many high-tech gizmo's that they use. Among these are the turdometer, for presisely measuring the physical dimensions of various turds, the turdiloscope, used for locating turds at the source, the turdmograph, for acurately plotting graphical representations of the data extracted from tests on many different turds, and the turdulatory analytical osmosifier, for analyzing the chemical composition of turds.

Turdology is for turdologists with turdiloscopes.

Tvrdology

Tvrdology or Hardology is a branch of psychology which can be studied in various different fields. For example a tvrdologist would determine how tvrda or hard a song is based on how heavy or down-tuned it is (also it can just be used to generally describe a good song). The first tvrdologist reported was Roko SpeedusMetallicus Roland, a famous guitarist in the area of Croatia, Zagreb, known by his Speed Metal band Barön. In 1991. during the Croatian Civil war he listened to his first ever doom metal record by a local band known as Rifftree and called it "Jako tvrdo" which could be roughly translated to "Very hard/stiff" and then Tvrdology was born. He later won a novel peace prize for stopping the aforementioned war and finally giving Croatia its independency by saying how Croatia is tvrđa than Serbia.

My g what would you rate that band Željezne Pilule on the Tvrdology scale?

toolology

The study of the intellectual messages that are hidden and open to interpretation from the band tool. Usually psychedelics are involved in finding secret messages and multi-meanings. Exploration of the infinite rabbit hole that one is exposed to through subjugation. A study that no one can really find any one meaning or answer in.

Toolology can be a group exercise but usually one finds meanings only for ones self. Toolology is useful to help send you a message that is circumstantial and critical to where you find yourself in life at that moment in time. For me it helped me stop being bitter at my ex because in a song it quotes "wear the grudge like a crown of negativity, calculate what we will or will not tolerate, desperate to control all and everything, unable to forgive these scarlet letterman" the message was clear to me that my hate for my ex was a prime example of how primitive humans become when their emotions are fucked with and also how unnecessary and unhealthy this state of being is.

The study of all aspects of the word "tard". Inclusive of how to be a tard, how to wrangle a tard, what makes someone a tard, and how to cure tard. The subject was created and made famous by Ed from the T.V. show 'Ed, Edd, and Eddy' and Patrick Star from the T.V. show 'Spongebob.'
