subsockian

"Subsockian" is an adjective that refers to undiscovered works of literary merit. Some argue that subsockian literature can not be attributed literary merit until it is published.
Emily Dickinson wrote many sweet subsockian poems before her death, but she kept them in her closet, buried under her socks. They have since then been published, and are currently considered works of literary merit.
