This OTOMAD was made based on the material provided at the event "2012 Shibamata Yoi Matsuri 'Come on! MAD Contest' " (sm18553794) (theres a Katsushika Keizai Shimbun article wrote about this), which was held as a pre-PR event for the "Shibamata Yoi Matsuri" held on September 30, 2012 in Katsushika Shibamata.
(However, as the submitter's comment states, this was not a submission to the event.)
At the time, it was a oto-MAD known only to a few, but in 2017, remmuh's "Shibamata☆" (sm31042029) was posted, and it became popular. Since the posting of "Shibamata☆", the number of views of the full version of Shibamata has more than doubled.
In the second half of the same year, many OTOMADs based on this began to be posted, and it became known as the "unprecedented Shibamata boom."
