Lewis Carroll's famous "seaside shenanigans" poem is a good morals-lesson-teaching essay for young children, since it shows them how wrong it is to be shelfish.

Self-ish-ing: Occurs in the social networking world. An act of calling attention to one's self by posting a vague comment that entices people to ask you to elaborate.

It's a selfish post intended to fish for attention.

These are examples of selfishing posts:

1) "Man you wouldn't believe what just happened to me!"
2) "Oh my God. I can't believe this. Please send prayers..."
3) "Gee, I can't believe that someone would hurt someone like that"
