revisionist history

When people, with the benefit of years (or generations) of hindsight and typically with ulterior motive, try to rewrite history as it originally occurred.

1) "The Holocaust was media sensationalism. Assuming it even happened, it was exaggerated and is revisionist history.

2) "Alabama was National Champions of College in 1941, per the Houlgate Poll. And became revisionist history in 1983 thanks to UA SID Wayne Atcheson, who'd go on to be author a fantastic biography about Jay Barker." citation needed

revisionist racism 

The practice of using historical dates and facts out of context with the intent to negatively impact public opinion about members of particular religious or minority groups. Especially relevant when the dates or historical events used occurred more than 250 years in the past.

The Renee Elmer's ad against the community center in New York doesn't make a convincing argument, it's just revisionist racism.

I don't understand why Turkey hasn't been allowed to join the EU, most of the arguments I've heard are based more in revisionist racism than fact.

Reagan Revisionist

A conservative historian who seeks to white wash Reagen's image to sell to the public in a effort to make popular his ideas that screwed over the general public in favor of the rich.

The traits of a Reagan Revisionist are some of the following
-the ability to over hype Reagan policies and record

-cover up or spin all the controversial aspects of his presidency

-Get angry at and help smear anyone that accurate quotes Reagan or points out something that would make Reagan look bad.

Pointing out the negative aspects to a Reagan Revisionist will result in some serious conservative butthurt

n. 1. A kiss-ass conservative who desperately attempts to re-write or re-shape history with lies, diatribe and tripe. 2. One who epically fails an attempt to dismiss his/her major fuck-ups by writing a book that attributes those fuck-ups to anyone/everyone else.

adj. Of or relating to the CIA-outing traitor Karl Rove.

The ranks of former Bush II administration staff is filled with rovisionists.

Karl Rove's anti-book 'Scourge and Consequence' is a text-book example of rovisionist history.

Religionist 

An arrogant, prideful, egoistic, religious person who believes his/her religion is the only true religion. They are deeply religious in their dogma/religion to such an extent they believe that is who they are. They are often times very legalistic and think they are better than others, especially other people who aren't members of their particular religion. People who are religionists are usually the biggest hypocrites.

Religious people are often times religionists due to the effect their religion has had on them over the years.

Jenny is so prideful about her religion, she is such a religionist.

A religionist takes legalism to the extreme.

Most religionists are so blind and arrogant they don't even realize how hypocritical they are.

Religionist 

Someone who thinks that people worshiping other religions are inherently inferior to one's own. A word similar to "racist" but for religion.

That guy is a religionist.

Anti-Religionist 

1: A person who can look at organized religion on the whole and see it is detrimental to the progress of mankind.

2: Someone who believes that religion or the belief in a higher power drives some people to terrible things, and while not all people will go to the same extremes the small amount of comfort given by religion is not worth the pain created by it.

3: A person who bases their life and ideas on fact.
