A volkswagon of any age size or color. Game played with children when driving for long distances. First person to see a punch bug yells "PUNCH BUG" and punches someone in the arm.

punch a bug

A game that was played on long road trips. To pass time while stuck in a vehicle, passengers would scan the highway, streets or roads in search of a Volkswagen Beetle. Also known as a bug. The moment that you see one you point it out and punch the other passengers while saying "Punch a Bug". The object is to find the Bug before everyone else do you can punch others and avoid being punched yourself. This game is similar to "Out of State License Plate".

This rule supersedes all existing laws on assault in all jurisdictions within the continental United States, Canada, and some participating regions of Mexico not under the control of the drug cartels.

A souped-up VW Bug sailed into view and so Sally yelled, "Punch Buggy!" and pursuant to the universal Punch Buggy Law immediately laid a blow to Johnny's arm.

Punch Buggie 

The phrase "punch buggie" is best said when riding with your friend in the car. If you see any form of a VW beettle or bug,punch your friend, perferrably in the shoulder, and call out the color of the car. Remember, you are not bitch punching your buddy, just litely "punching" them on their shoulder.

Heather: "Blue punch buggie" (punches Lisa on the shoulder, but not hard!)
