House Party Weekend

An annual celebration at Bucknell University, PA. This does not even try to be anything else but a weekend of bands, booze, sex, and drugs. Almost everyone wakes up at the end with something stupid they did. Also, one of the most enjoyable weekends on campus. Main goal of everyone on campus is to get laid and stay away from Public Safety.

acid house party

Term referring to the parties and the gatherings of the late 80's which later evolved into raves. Acid house, a popular genre of house at the time, gave the parties their namesake. The music was much more moody and sinister than the now soft and pleasant music of the club and dying rave scene, and had a much more hard and machine-like edge. Acid house parties themselves took place in cramped buildings or warehouses, with low lighting and a trance-like feel.

Stripper house party

A variation of the traditional House Party. Hanging at a strip club until it closes and then inviting all the left over strippers back to your pad to shoot pool, do some toot, and strip.

House party

A party usually thrown by a high schooler/teenager without their parents' knowledge or permission. Typically thrown while parents are on vacation or gone for an extended amount of hours. Classic high school house party involves alcohol, weed, music, and people hooking up and/or having sex. Many times the house is left in a complete mess and sometimes is damaged. Very risky, as parents may find out, neighbors may complain, and cops may get called if it's wild enough - but if done right it's so worth it.

Joe's parents went to Connecticut for the weekend so he threw a house party.
