minority stampede

The act of arabic or black men impulsively joining in a fight for the sole reason of attacking someone of another race.
Ed: Johnny and Ahmed fought it out yesterday after school on the football field.

Steve: Oh yeah? Who won?

Ed: Well, Johnny was kicking his ass....but then a dozen or so camels jumped in and beat the crap out of him. Damn minority stampede.....

Steve: So much for a fair fight.

Minority Stock Character

Obviously he's going to die, he's a minority stock character.

minority shaming

1. What anyone who uses the term "special snowflake" is doing. Commonly done by edgelords of the internet to look cool.

2. People failing to recognise that third gender individuals and those who lack gender identity have existed long before Tumblr.

People pull out the words “special snowflake” when someone does any of the following:

- Have a profile/blog that talks about their non-“traditional” gender identity, sexuality, or neurodiversity.
- Ever mention that they have a non-“traditional” gender identity, sexuality, or neurodiversity
- Ever talk about any kind of non-“traditional”/non-white/cis/straight/neurotypical/etc. identity
- Want words to exist for that identity so they can talk about it
- Want people to accept that that identity exists

None of that is about thinking they are “special”. It’s about wanting to be able to talk about identities in the same way that other people can by default. That’s when you'll see people use the words “special snowflake”. I’ve never actually seen anyone who made up a non-“traditional” identity because they want to be special, but I have seen a lot of people shamed as special snowflakes for talking about their non-“traditional” identity, and people assuming they are lying, treating them as lying, etc. far beyond how likely it is that they actually are lying.
Calling minorities "special snowflakes" for existing is minority shaming.

Minority Stress

The chronic, high-effort psychological strain experienced by members of stigmatized minority groups (e.g., LGBTQ+, racial/ethnic minorities). It’s not just everyday stress; it’s the heavy, cumulative burden of constantly navigating a dominant culture that may be hostile, dismissive, or merely ignorant of your existence. This stress comes from external events (discrimination, violence, microaggressions), the internal vigilance of expecting them, and the effort to conceal or manage your identity to stay safe. It’s like running a marathon while constantly scanning for obstacles and carrying an invisible weight.
Example: Alex, a trans man, feels Minority Stress when he has to mentally map which public restroom to use to avoid confrontation, correct a colleague’s pronouns for the tenth time while smiling politely, and then read a news article debating his basic humanity—all before lunch. This isn't "a bad day"; it's the exhausting baseline tax on his mental energy.
