Alex Lifeson
The guitarist and occasional back up vocalist in canadian prog rock band Rush. His real name is Aleksandar Živojinović and is the son of Serbian immigrants. He is a highly talented guitarist, one of the best ever, but since no music media outlet ever cares about Rush, is often unappreciated. Plays a wide variety of guitars from Gibsons to PRSs. Can play better than just about anyone. He's nicknamed Lerxst from a mispronunciation of his name.

This sudden and strong desire to turn one's life around is known as 'Gang Lifestyle Fatigue' of GLF. GLF usually manifests itself when a gangster finds himself in custody facing 25 to life.

Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
