When you're so addicted to hard drugs like heroin or fentanyl that you've gone past the point of no return, the drugs can be said to have gripped your brain. In turn, you would call this person a gripson. When they are extremely high and incapacitated, you would refer to them as being gripsoned.
We tried to get everyone ready to go canoeing on the river, but Jordan was gripsoned out of his mind sitting in a camping chair. We had to put sunglasses on him to make it less noticeable and then go without him. What a gripson.

a very interesting and typically weird person. Hopefully a guy.... not always smart n can be physical. Is overall a good person but is easily distracted and angered. Usually has 2 younger twin brothers in the family and a mostly single mom with a cat instead of a dog. Also usually lives in rural areas like Iowa. Live near parks or schools.... The little boy showed his Aunt how fast he could run in his NEW tennis shoes.(New to him or just plain New.) His Aunt told him that his shoes had really fantastic Gripshin. This made the boy feel good and made the boy want to run even faster. :)

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
