classy grandma

Used to keep conversation and comments appropriate. If you wouldn't say it in front of my classy grandma, you shouldn't say it at all.

TEACHER: "Let's keep it classy grandma, kids."

grandma car

A grandma car is basically your run of the mill 1990's sedan with low kilometers. Typical Grandma cars are the Chevrolet Caprice, Ford Taurus, Toyota Camry, Chrysler Intrepid, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima, Pontiac G6 and Any and/or all Buick or Mercury cars. These cars also must have Unpaid Parking tickets on the dashboard along with hard candy and Efferdent Denture Cleaning Crystals to be considered a True "Grandma Car." A grandma car must also be slow as molasses in a Canadian Winter and in dire need of an oil change.
"Dude, Why did you buy such a grandma car?"

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
