A Canadian saying, usually used in the Maritime Region, to command an effort of some sort

1. "All right Barney, when I spread this goat's ass and say go, you just give 'er!!!!!"

2. ... so then he says it's touching cloth and I says give 'er lad, no one'll know it was you......

give'er 

When all else fails, when mere brute force is not enough, it is time to grit your teeth and GIVE 'ER.

GIVE 'ER can apply to anything from jamming the throttle on your big block wide-open to you and the boys putting a bit of muscle into whatever misguided task you've drunkenly committed to.

GIVE 'ER can be applied to nearly any situation where finesse is no longer a viable option.

You'll probably never get that Audi stuck in snow with those Hakkas on it, but if you really, really bottom it out on sheer ice or some s--t, I say just DROP TEH CLUTCH AND GIVE 'ER.

give'er 

1. To act in reckless disregard.
2. A form of permission.
3. A suggested course of action.

"Give'er Terry, give'er, give'er, give'er!"
This will work if:
1. Terry is about to do something reckless and is being egged on by friends who are encouraging him to continue/begin this action regardless of the consequences.
2. Terry asks if he can get a beer from the fridge. (typically reduced to one "give'er" instead of the above multiple "give'er's"
3. Terry asks you if its a good idea to ask out that good looking woman he sees.

Give er' the onion 

1. To go all out, no fucks given.
2. When you floor your car, smash the gas, pedal to the metal.
3. You give it to your girl (sexually) so good, that she starts to cry. Similar to chopping an onion and tearing up.
4. Your car is so bad ass and so fast, that you whiplash your girl into crying tears of joy over your magnificent beast of modern day machinery.

1."Dude I could die", "So! Give er' the onion!"
2. "I'm gonna race this guy", "He's got a turbo v8, better be ready to give er' the onion"
3. "Dude, I went hard on my girl last night and gave er' the onion".
4. "I got a bigger turbo put on my car, and gave er' the onion bro".

Give 'er all the way 

A Canadian slang phrase referring to doing something with maximum effort, most typically with a complete disregard for any consequences of doing such. Also carries connotations of the behaviour being at least somewhat self-destructive.

Guy 1: "Fuck, that water looks kinda deep. Maybe we should turn around"

Guy 2: "Ahhh just fuckin' give 'er all the way, you'll make it"
