Someone or some party that deliberately foils another’s geocaching expedition.
We were just about to discover the cache, when that couple showed up and found it first. They saw us looking for it. They totally geocrashed us.

Falling, tripping, or otherwise wiping out while on a geocache hunt because you were not paying attention to the trail, but were staring at your GPS unit instead.

geocashing

A social media game where participants decipher clues in order to locate hidden cash, usually in the form of currency. A riff on geocaching. As made popular by the #hiddencash game which originated in San Franciso, CA in May of 2014.
I am going geocashing for hidden cash around town once the new clues have been tweeted.

geotrasher

Someone who hunts geocaches down to destroy them and keep any travel bugs or coins inside as trophies.

A geotrasher will spread the remaining contents of the cache around the area then fill the container with some type of perishable food item. Most times the lid is then glued in place to make opening difficult but not impossible.

Logs are sometimes kept as souvenirs or left to rot in the cache container.
We are in the area of the geocache but I think a geotrasher might have gotten to it first because there are little broken plastic toys everywhere.

Like geocaching, but instead of following the rules of geocaching, the participant destroys/ and or steals everything in the cache, ruining it for everyone else
