Fernet

Fernet-Branca liquer. An alcoholic drink with a cult-like following in some urban locales. Fomulated as a patent medicine in the 1800's, some claim it is like absinthe, but it is really just an after-dinner bitters liquer with the extra punch of a variety of 40+ secret herbs including some that are known to have psychological effects such as Saffron, Ginseng and St. John's Wort. It does seem to have some effect beyond just being alcohol but it's nowhere near as psychedelic or narcotic as it is rumored to be. Some people also consider it to be a great hangover cure.

I housesat for this guy in Hollywood and he had a case of Fernet in his liquor closet.

A strong, earthy concotion favored by summer all-stars, but known for undoing lesser associates made weak by their desk jobs.

AMM used to be able to hang, but since she started working she can't touch PDH in a Fernet drinking contest.

Fernet con coca

Created in Córdoba, Argentina. It's a very common beverage, made with Fernet, Coke and ice. The best Fernet you can make is made with a recipe full of ice 30% of Fernet and 70% of Coke.

1: Hey, do you wanna drink something?
2:- Yes, make a Fernet con Coca, no le pongas Pepsi, culiado.

Balloon Ferret

An impossible situation that serves no purpose anyway. Something unachievable yet completely irrelevant, like trying to get a live ferret into an novelty balloon for no apparent reason.

1. Phil had three minutes to shave his muttonchops before his wife got home, not that she'd notice anyway. It was a total balloon ferret
