Exposure

The most hated word of the freelance commercial artist. When a company offers no pay, but instead, “Lots of Exposure” You, as an artist, better make a run for it, because this is the most toxic BS anyone will ever feed you.
Artist: “So the commission will amount to about-“
Company Employee: “Oh, we won’t be paying you, but you’ll get LOTS of EXPOSURE!”
Artist: “K bye”

Words you can keep

exposure

What you get when you expose yourself. Can be extremely and extremely bad. Sometimes at the same time.
"Woohoo!"
"Oh dear lord! Hide your eyes girl, from this un-called for exposure!"
"I'm trying to Father, but the shining blossom of doom is attracting me with it's evil despatriations!"
"Dear lord!"

exposure

A non-existent form of payment, similar to unicorn piss and mermaid scales. The term "exposure" is only used to trick artists into working for free. If poor people use it, they can't afford art and thus shouldn't get it. If successful people or companies use it, they could pay. But they just choose not to since some artists will fall for this "exposure"-scam nontheless.
"I'm starting a Let's Play-channel on Youtube and could use an avatar, header and some thumbnail art! I already have 103 people following me on twitter. I'll give you tons of exposure!"

"Our company is looking for awesome artists to draw our mascot! Your images will be shown on our instagram! Get on it, artists!"

"I'm a super successful streamer, I'm looking for a few new emotes." - "What do you mean I have to pay?! DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I was gonna pay you in exposure but I guess you're too greedy for that."

Exposure Disclosure

When you need to notify someone that they may have been exposed to an STD.
Rick didn’t mind working for the county health dept but he hated having to try and give exposure disclosures when all he had to work with were screen names.

Mrs. Manners says, if you’re going to make an exposure disclosure you should at least have the balls to do it by phone.

Exposure to Radiation

The act of taking an unsuspecting male's testicles, and placing them on your own face.
I have no idea why, but after I passed out he used my balls to get some exposure to radiation.

Exposure radar

When you are in trouble and have a 1 to 100 risk of being punished at a certain time
“My Exposure Radar is like a 90!! I’m sure I will be going to the principals”

Exposure Fantasy

A type of sexual aberration, centered around shame and often triggered by internet predation at a young age, that is bound to surpass the limits of its own title: the fantasizer gains sexual gratification from increasingly risky releases of information online. An email here, a photo with a Little Too Much Metadata there...but things snowball. Fantasy becomes reality when they are inevitably chronicled on search engines by just searching their legal name. This can lead to employment issues, alienation, and worse - a deepening perversion that turns much more physical.
"I think my new boyfriend might have an exposure fantasy...? He keeps asking me to post his passport photo on Facebook next to that video of me pegging him."

"Make sure you remove the metadata on your homemade content, dude...you don't want to wind up like AdamLjung and end up plastered all over the internet as ' Halmstad Sissy Emma' QQ"

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
