Exhibitionism

Exhibitionism is the term most commonly used for the action of being nude and/or engaged in a sexual act for others to witness visually. The word also used in performing an act which one “shows off” a talent or feat. The act being pleasurable to the performer, viewer or both involved in the act.

Chelsea and Tom not only have plenty of sex but also enjoy exhibitionism.

guerrilla exhibitionism 

the act of two or more people exposing themselves from different points.

In a large city, somebody runs down the street, pulls down their pants near a police officer, and yells "guerrilla exhibitionism". Then, when the cop is chasing him, somebody jumps out of a bush and does the same. A 3rd person could be on top of a roof, and a 4th driving by.

Facebook Exhibitionism 

When a person shares too much personal information on facebook, whether it's to draw attention or to make him/her feel important. Like other people even care about that stuff! Stop! It embarrasses your family, you big doof!

Evette felt as though no one in her house or school paid attention to her so she turned to her computer. As her psychologist explained, Facebook Exhibitionism is not a way to solve an inferiority complex, and it's a treatable disorder.

Electronic Exhibitionism  

An individual that uses electronic media, computers, cell phones, etc. to expose themselves physically to unsuspecting friends, acquaintances, and strangers. They typically send suggestive photos of themselves, or photos of their private parts that are unsolicited and unwelcome. Generally the content is objectionable and would be considered lewd if exposed in a public setting.

John just sent me an unwanted picture of his penis on my cell phone. Electronic Exhibitionism is so lame.

exhibitionist 

A person who indulges in public displaying their physical appearance but also their power, wealth or personality.

For example, they might dress in extravagant or thought-provoking looks or post an excessive number of photos of themselves on social media.

We disagree with most definitions in mainstream dictionaries as "a person who behaves in ways intended to attract attention". While this might be true in many cases, they seem to force a psychological interpretation of their behaviour we are not able to judge.

Not to be confused with the psychiatric definition of exhibitionist referred to those who show their genitalia in public.
