The phrase ‘have you eaten rice yet?’ is a social pleasantry used between friends and acquaintances along the same lines as saying ‘how are you?’ or ‘how’s it going?’ A person may respond, ‘eaten already’ or ‘not yet’. The phrase is another way of asking ‘have you eaten yet?’, but if the reply is ‘not yet’ there is every chance the two friends will end up eating together even if it’s just a quick snack.
A dialogue between two friends :
Boy: Have you eaten rice yet? (Typical greeting)
Girl: Yes, I’ve eaten. (Expected reply)
Boy: Where are you going? (The standard opening)
Girl: Over there! (Reply)
(Also a greeting couched like a question that requires no answer.)
A double faced entendre, as described by platinum artist Oliver Tree, is a person who, much like an entendre, has two completely different personalities. One being a sweet, angelic one, whilst the other is a backstabbing, devilish one. The problem is when the relationship first starts, you may be “blinded” by love and not recognize this fact until it’s too late.
Ryan: yeah i just a hot out of a really bad relationship. she was different from when i met her.
Matt: yeah she really did seem like a double faced entendre.
A beautiful girl, loving, kind, caring even if she doesn't see it herself. She is the best partner anyone can ask for. The best person anyone could meet. The type of person that keeps a place in people's hearts forever and always.
