When you take multiple versions of the same picture so you have options for cropping the image later on.

Becky: "Want to take a picture of me leaning against this palm tree?"
Stacy: "Sure!"
Becky: "Take some pictures portrait, landscape, and some from far away. I want croptions!
Stacy: "You got it!"
