Canelope

The fruit names cantaloupe and muskmelon are used somewhat interchangeably. What is generally called cantaloupe in the west is really a muskmelon, characterized by a webbed surface. Cantaloupes have a smooth and lumpy skin with deep ridges. Cantaloupes were cultivated in Egypt's Nile valley as early as 2000 B.C.

Catalope

(Cat-a-lope), a cat slash melon, that is also a cantalope, that can also be referred to as a catermelon. The catermelon mostly known from the card game Exploding Kittens. Is a watermelon with a cat face. It also might have been said to you from a child such as a younger cousin or sibling. Or maybe even yourself.

1. I saw a catalope in the catermelon section at wallmart.
2. That catalope looked right at me.
