backwater

Somewhere out of the way; in the middle of nowhere; desolate. See boondocks.

Gamer Girl Bathwater

Blackwater Park

One of the greatest albums by one of the great modern bands, Opeth. Combine screaming death metal riffs and growling vocals with softer acoustic passages to create a very unique, truly amazing sound.
Some good songs off of it are Bleak, Blackwater Park, the Leper Affinity, and the Drapery Falls.
If you are a fan of good music, you should definetly give them a listen.
They may be labeled "Swedish progressive death metal" or some shit like that, but damn, Blackwater Park kicks so much ass!

drink your own bathwater

v. A metaphor for a person or a group of people believing their own lies and propaganda. The effects of doing this can be comical, e.g., Baghdad Bob, but this is usually the harbinger of the demise of the practitioner(s).
When Mikhail Gorbachev instituted Perestroika and Glasnost, it was obvious that the leadership of the Soviet Union was having a big session of "drink your own bathwater," assuming that Communism was actually about helping workers. Glasnost exposed the average Russian to the lies they had been told, particularly about how awful their standard-of-living was as compared to the West. Subsequently, Gorbachev and the Soviet Union lasted only six years.

The Bar came before the movie. It is an awesome bar where the girls know how to party and make you feel okay about giving up your money, drawers, bras, and dignity.

2. Movie

A story about a Jersey girl following her dreams, aided by working at this bar in New York.

3. Situation/Person/Decision

See other definitions - waking up next to someone so ugly you'd rather chew your arm off than wake them up.

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
