n. a tree that has had some of its branches/limbs cut off, leaving nubby circles on the trunk where the branches were.

trees that are overgrown in front yards, or are growing dangerously close to buildings or power lines, are most likely to become amputrees.

the elements (high winds,lightning etc.) are also a common cause of amputrees.

"I used to climb the tree in front of my house when I was a kid. Unfortunately, my dad made it an amputree when I was 9, and now I can't."

Port Arthur, TX. Known as "the armpit of Texas" due to being a rather down-trodden, highly polluted, industrial and depressed town. Port Arthur is in far east Texas, not very far from the Louisiana border.
