The state of having mysteriously lost a number of hours after someone suggests "Just one more drink" at happy hour.

tapered pants

Tapered pants are trousers popular during the 1980s and early 90s and worn by both genders. The pants sat high on the waist, ballooned around the hips and thighs, then tapered at the ankle. Often worn with with a baggy, button down shirt buttoned all the way to the top, with the collar up. These pants defined "New Romantic" fashion.

Duran Duran, Thompon Twins, Depeche Mode, Platinum Blonde, Annie Lennox (Eurythmics) all wore these tapered pants.
