Thought Crime

A theoretical felony. The federally punishable act of thinking about unlawful acts, thinking of committing them, or having thoughts contrary to the will of the established government or relevant legal or social paradigm. An arrestable offense regardless of whether or not action has been taken towards the thought, even lacking traditional evidence of any kind of wrongdoing.

This idea is prevalent in the dystopian novel "1984," by british author George Orwell.
I'm glad Bush is out of office. I was sure I was going to get sent to Guantanomo for Thought Crimes.

Thought crime

That is exactly what you want to do. You just can't say it because that would make you the bad one.
Hym "That is (without a doubt) enforcement of thought crime and to laud the grandmother for turning her grandson to the state is exactly what advocating for enforcement of thought crime looks like. And charging the families of mass shooters!? Guilt by association!? Jesus Christ! Very naughty stuff. This is what I mean by 'just as bad as the other team.' You went straight to Orwell. Looks like the inevitable logical conclusion to society's need to subordinate the individual to the group is just Orwell. 100% of the time. Left or Right. I'm all for it though. I have been longing for the reeducation camps I was promised not long ago. And as far as 'not mocking your suffering cults and silly reality-monster-pleasing hats' I don't think that has anything to do with mass shootings. It trapped me in a meat prison and you're celebrating it. Anywho, if you're worried about socialization of the unsocialized, I have good news. How do you socialize the unsocialized? Well, according to the oldest piece of literature in human history (The Epic of Gilgamesh) Enkidu (the unsocialized feral vagabond) is socialized by prostitutes. So... Bring me my prostitutes."

Enforcing thought crimes

Yeah this targeting of "Anti-Americanism" stuff...
Hym "Enforcing thought crimes. That's what it IS. They are enforcing thought crimes... By doing that. Like, to say that being 'Anti-Captialist' or whatever makes you a target of surveillance... That MEANS (literally) they are doing, like, Orwellian surveillance on people who espouse 'anti-american' or 'anti-christian' rhetoric.... And THAT... Is 'enforcing thought crimes.' Regardless of what you call it. And then they got a bunch of serial child threateners roaming free. Like a handsome, rugged, sexual, animal roving the wild. The serial child threateners roam the streets... I mean, they're in a weaponized schizophrenia surveillance apparatus but still."

thoughtcrime

Orwellion concept.

A crime that you are guilty of because you are THINKING of doing something bad. (i.e. In 1984's Oceania, spending time alone is almost a crime because it's considered odd, and odd people are a threat to a stable environment such as theirs.)

also, see patriot act. (i.e. when you check anarchist cookbook out from the library or something, the gov might have the right to go into your home and tap your phone and computer. And it's all perfectly legal since you might be a terrorist.)

An authority claims for any reasons 2+2=5 .
