Skitteling

The act of assorting and staggering multiple variables in an apparent random manner, with the intent of measuring the impact of each variable independently. The Etymology comes from the color-coding of a large multi-variant media plan at a large drugstore chain that looked like skittles scattered across a spreadsheet once completed.

Beth's playlist was perfect at her shed party, because she spent time skitteling the tunes to determine what was most popular.
