Self-ish-ing: Occurs in the social networking world. An act of calling attention to one's self by posting a vague comment that entices people to ask you to elaborate.
It's a selfish post intended to fish for attention.
These are examples of selfishing posts:
1) "Man you wouldn't believe what just happened to me!"
2) "Oh my God. I can't believe this. Please send prayers..."
3) "Gee, I can't believe that someone would hurt someone like that"
The belief that, although you think socialism is evil and wrong, it's okay with it when it benefits you personally.
You'll take advantage of any socialist programs and claim disability benefits, unemployment benefits, or old age government pensions for yourself, all while complaining about everyone else who does the same.
Alice: That person kept posting about how socialism is going to corrupt America, yet now they're posting that Social Security benefits for seniors should be increased.
Laws made by members of a government for reasons of profiting the lawyers who made the bill. Selfish bills, selfish laws, anything that makes money for lawyers and headaches for everybody else.
"A horrifying percentage of legislation being passed in Washington today directly profit lawyers. This selfishlation is not for the democratic majority"
"This is an ideology that justifies self-centered individualism, social and economic aggression and the evasion of social responsibility and cooperation through rationales based on mythical concepts such as all-powerful and overbearing government, the inherent inferiority of other racial and ethnic groups, the equation of infantile self-indulgence and economic self-aggrandizement with political freedom, and the innate superiority and desirability of pseudo-individualism and concentration of wealth among a few members of society." ---Glenn Rainey
