A word to be used when someone says something you didn't quite hear or don't understand. This usage originated when a spelling bee champion misspelled the word "scombridae" in a news interview.
"Scomberdae? Are you saying scomberday?" can be used if you want a person to repeat him/her self or to show that you don't understand.
Alternatively, "Oh, well I thought you were saying scombrdae," can be used to cover for a mistake made due to misunderstanding.
Originally used on the 90's TV show "Pinky and the Brain," in a three part episode where everyone would do a strange dance called the "schmeerskahoven."
Stick your finger in your belly,
Don't be afraid if it jiggles like jelly
Yeah, Schmeerskahoven!
noun: A cheaper and low-quality grade variant of the popular Cheerios brand. While still a toasted oat based cereal, Schmeerios are an inferior brand akin to a "white-label brand".
Tall your cheap-ass mom to stop buyin' these shitty Schmeerios and start buying the real stuff!
