The REVIVALRY is the annual collegiate football game played for over 100 years between the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs and the Baylor University Bears in the Big 12 Conference of the Football Bowl Division of American College Football. It is the most even series in collegiate football, with neither side ever being ahead in the series by more than 8 consecutive wins (Baylor from 1974-1981 and TCU from 1964-1971). As of summer of 2021 TCU leads 56–53–7.
The name "Revivary" is a play on the fact that both schools began primarily as religious schools and seminaries and continue to this day to hold direct religious affiliations, Baylor with the Southern Baptist Convention and TCU with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). It is the oldest rivalry between two private religious schools in the entirety of college sport.
"TCU kicked Baylor's teeth in again in the Revivalry up in Fort Worth. Baylor just can't win again those Horned Frogs. I guess that is what happens when the other mascot can spit blood out of their eyes at you and your mascot is a cuddly little bear cub!"
A competion in East Rockaway High School that takes place between the months of January and March, involving students in grades 9 through 12. Rock Rivalry consists of many competitive and creative events, such as a sports night, arranging/directing a short musical production, and creating both a stand and mural to reflect the theme of each respective performance. Nassau Community College studies have found that the competition causes a great deal of inter-class and intra-class tensions. In addition, the only award for winning said event is a silvercup that the class can only keep for 2 days, usually resulting in copious amounts of alcohol consumption for both winners and losers alike. For about 2 months, this is all the high school will be talking about. East Rockaway High School has had this tradition every year since 1936
Josh: I think we are going to beat the juniors this year in Rock Rivalry
Tom: Yea maybe but also watch out for the freshman and sophomores!
Post-Punk Revivalism is a type of indie rock that emulates the sound of Post Punk bands of the late 70s and New Wave bands of the early 80s. They feature a more artsy, complex sound than other branches of indie rock, and often add synthesizer or other electronic sounds to the traditional guitar, bass, and drums. Post-Punk revivalism started in England in the early 00s and, while it is still strongest there today, it has grown in popularity in the US, Australia, and Canada.
The Bar came before the movie. It is an awesome bar where the girls know how to party and make you feel okay about giving up your money, drawers, bras, and dignity.
2. Movie
A story about a Jersey girl following her dreams, aided by working at this bar in New York.
3. Situation/Person/Decision
See other definitions - waking up next to someone so ugly you'd rather chew your arm off than wake them up.
1. Yo, Coyote Ugly is my favorite bar! I got whipped, stripped, drunk, and danced on the bar all before 7 o'clock!
2. Hey did you see Coyote Ugly? It actually has a plot!
A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.
Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
