A cool person, someone who is confident, has an air of mystery about them and does not care what others think about them.

They don't go with the flow, they create the flow.

Not much ruffles them, they keep their cool!

They are a little enigmatic and seem to have all the answers!

A Radgie is usually descriptive of a male who is quick to temper. Adopted by Geordies's (individuals from the Newcastle upon Tyne region of England) it derives from the word rage or to rage. Often seen outside pubs and clubs shouting his mouth off at someone, or just raging in general at nothing.

A term similar to the "N" word in its power to insult, unique to Northwest Connecticut. Refers to lower than low white trash. Winsted residents are sure it refers to some people from Norfolk. Norfolk residents think raggies come from Torrington. Torrington people believe that raggies live in Winsted. And so on.

At the Greenwoods School in Winsted, calling another kid a "raggie" was cause for detention. Mothers would wash the mouth of any child who used the "R" word.

White trash have a car on blocks in the yard, & a couch on the porch. Raggies typically have a couch on the lawn and a car on the porch.

Look out for a two year old raggie throwing rocks at passing traffic. (Route 44, Route 8)

An airline employee who loads and unloads airplanes which are parked on the (airport) ramp.
An industry term, generally unknown to outsiders.
After the aircraft came to a stop at the gate and shut down engines, the rampie chocked the wheels, plugged in the ground power and connected the conditioned air.
