Planetes

1) The english spelling of a Greek word made up of the characters Pi, Lambda, Alpha, Nu , Epsilon, Tau, Epsilon, Sigma. It means "Wanderer" or "Traveler".

2) An extremely well made, and very realistic Sci-Fi anime series that takes place in the year 2075. The story primarily follows the exploits of Hoshino Hachirota, a troubled young man who works as an astronaut for the private space company "Technora Corp", with a team of diverse and interesting characters who's job is to remove dangerous space debris from Earth's orbit. In short, they are space garbage men.

At its core, Planetes is a story of personal conquest.

Planetes is one of the greatest and most inspirational anime series I have ever seen.

Planetside

Quite possibly the most under-rated game of all time. Due to a clunky interface and system requirements that very few people could meet in May of 2003(When the game was released) it did not catch on as planned.

Those lucky few who knew of this game and had rigs that could run it, got to enjoy the worlds only (and best) MMOFPS... until BFRs came out and ruined the whole fucking game. (Thanks Sony!)

Now relegated to the annals of 'Great Games ruined by arrogant pricks who had the gall to tell the player base what they wanted rather than listening to them' history.

Oh yeah, and if you sucked at PS there was always WoW.

There are billions of planets in the Milky way, yet we only memorize 8? That is planetism.

We mustn't show planetism against the planets we deem as unimportant for people to learn in school.

Planetside

PlanetSide is a FPSMRPG, a first of it's kind. Wildly misunderstud by UT and Quake3 migrants, everyone thought it would be all common pool weapons and a 5000 player FPS server. Little did they know that common knowledge, common sense, and a little bit of tactical analysis was needed to actually win. Many players whined and only a few good players remained.

All the TR players whine about the Jackhammer, but that's cause it's a point and click instant kill. All the NC whine about the stryker rocket, but that's because it's too easy to kill whith, and all the VS whine about their magriders because they can't run over every soldier on the field anymore because physics were implimented on an anti-gravitational hovertank with an oversized hitbox. Go figure.
