Pharketing

An email, or other communication, sent with a link to a seemingly useful resource but that really is just testing to see if your email address is active and if this kind of resource might be of use to you. The pharketer will then add your email to a distribution list for more pharketing messages to be sent or given to a company as a genuine lead. Not malicious, but certainly worth being wary of. See also pharming and phishing.
I received another pharketing email today!

Words you can keep

Pargeting

This is slang for applying large quantities of make-up to the face or body. It derives from the verb ‘pargeting’ which is to apply a decorative, waterproof plaster to a wall. The finished plaster is also known as pargeting and can be in a variety of colours. So if a woman is piling stuff on her face, eyebrows, eyes, lips, eyelashes or face, she is pargeting.
“Look at that silly moo piling gunk on her face!”
“Yeah, she does so much pargeting she keeps Maybelline in business by herself’”

Back when I lived in upstate new york

A meaningless, unimpressive, self-serving introduction. An indicator that the story about to be shared will be pointless and dumb.
Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
