P.I.B.

Abbreviation for Put-In-Bay, Ohio. An island located in Lake Erie which becomes overrun by party people during the summer months. It is the equivalent to spring break for adults. It is common knowledge that what happens on the island, stays on the island, usually because the person is too drunk to remember anyway.

S.P.L.I.B. is a derogatory term directed at African Americans. It stands for "Some Poor Lazy Ignorant Black". This insult was common in the Detroit area in the 60's and 70's.

Man, check out that S.P.L.I.B. sleepin' on the porch. Must be waitin' for that welfare check.

Refers to a whiny spoiled-rotten individual who exhibits selfish immature “canine” tendencies (making lots of noise and creating messy chaos, getting underfoot and wanting constant attention when others are busy, sniffing and nuzzling everyone continuously, etc.), and whose disruptive behavior subsides only at times when he is totally passed out from excessive alcohol intake.
