A trip you arent particularly enthusiastic about taking but feel you have to, usually to visit family you haven't seen in awhile.

oblivacation

When you take a vacation to visit family or with family that is more of an obligation than for fun or pleasure.
Where are you traveling this summer? We are going on an oblivacation to my in-laws in Pennsylvania.

Oblication

Taking valuable vacation time and dollars for obligatory family or friend visits. Usually oblications blow your PTO balance at work, meaning you will not have a real vacation in the foreseable future.
We didn't make it to the Carribean this year because we sent spring break on an oblication to see the in-laws.
