Monitorium

noun — A place, platform, or system where people collectively watch, verify, challenge, and make sense of what is happening in a community or environment using a mix of official data, lived experience, maps, sensors, field evidence, and public accountability.

Unlike a dashboard that simply displays numbers, a Monitorium is designed to question them. It treats monitoring as an active civic process: if the official data says everything is fine but people on the ground say otherwise, the Monitorium flags the contradiction and pushes it toward verification.
“City Hall says the neighborhood has 100% reliable water access, but residents logged outages in the Monitorium, so the project was paused until the data could be ground-truthed.”

“A dashboard tells you what the data says. A Monitorium helps you figure out whether the data is actually true.”

Declare a moratorium

When a fad or affectation has outlived its coolness, one can declare a moratorium on it. It's a polite way to express one's rage at seeing something silly continue in perpetuity.
1. White chicks with dreadlocks; I'm declaring a moratorium on that.
2. I'm declaring a moratorium on the faux-hawk. It's been co-opted by too many frat boys.
3. I believe it's time to declare a moratorium on the fart app for iPhone.

I'll be monitoring your frequency.

A cheesy way of saying "I love you" from the new Star Trek movie.
"Since you're Vulcan and can't express any emotion and this is the 22nd century with all this techy stuff and 'I love you' is used too much as it is I guess I'll be monitoring your frequency."

ass moratorium

a defined period of time when your sexual partner puts the kibosh on the back door...
I'm placing an ass moratorium as a result of last night's activity...

Internal Monitoring & Enforcement

IME is a better task force than literally the other 4. I really don't give a fuck what skull thinks but I'd rather be doing the epic gamer moves rather than doing the cringe guarding as A-1, lego recontaining and B-7, or participate in a point and click adventure game as S-9. E-11 is cool I guess.
"Wow is that Internal Monitoring & Enforcement?"
"yes"

endwarfins

The rush of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides triggered specifically by watching the Seven Dwarfs march home singing "Heigh-Ho" — that particular high of pickaxes, whistling while you work, and communal domestic bliss in a cottage built for men half your height.
I only meant to watch the Heigh-Ho scene for the endwarfins, and then it was two hours later and I'd watched the whole movie.

Endwarfins aren't just a Snow White thing — I get the same hit off the Lollipop Guild in Oz.

A slang term used to describe a bald person, typically someone who is completely bald or has a closely shaved head. The term is derived from the infamous, hairless kids’ cartoon character of the same name.
Example 1:
“Did you see that caillou over there? His head is reflecting the sun like a disco ball.”
Example 2:
“I think Dave is finally accepting his hair loss. He just went full caillou and shaved the whole thing off.”
