Maysplaining

Answering a question without saying anything meaningful or informative in your response. Usually includes an ad hominem attack directed towards a political opponent or the questioner rather than a direct answer.

Named after British prime minster Theresa May's inability to respond to questions and criticisms.

A play-on-words of the term "mansplaining".
"Did you watch prime minister's questions yesterday? Theresa May was maysplaining every question the opposition directed at her."

Interviewer: "How do you respond to the criticism that you inviting Saudi Arabian royalty to visit is endorsing state-sponsored terrorism and human rights abuses, including women's rights?"

Politician (maysplaining): "I think the opposition have bigger things to worry about, considering their leader sold secrets to a Russian spy during the Cold War! Saudi Arabia are our friends, and we are happy to invite them to our country."

Interviewer: "You didn't answer my question..."

Politician: "We have a very special relationship with the Saudis, but I think their human rights abuses are a very mean thing for them to do..."

milsplaining

milsplaining (blend word ‘military’ & informal form splaining of gerund ‘explaining’) is pejorative term meaning "(of a squaddie) to comment on or explain something to #civvy in condescending, overconfident, often inaccurate or oversimplified manner"
It is total bravado based on a rigid hierarchy where people have to do exactly as you tell them even if you are an utter knob. Civvies don’t give a shit about rank & will tell you to poke it.
I’m not #milsplaining you thick Civvy twat, I’m giving you guidance based on my considerable military knowledge gleamed from Commando comics & years of mucking other military around. I have zero knowledge of real world but if I shout & point, you will have to do what I say!

Mannsplaining

The gritted teeth repetition of facts from a scientist forced to contend with the myths of morons all the livelong day.
"Michael's having a bad day on Twitter; he's gonna graduate from Mannsplaining to murder pretty soon."

Mathsplaining

When a mathematically capable person explains a math problem to a less mathematically capable person, typically in a manner regarded as condescending or patronising. Like mansplaining, except that it actually exists.
Math HL student: "Uh, you can't get the square root out of a negative number. Unless you're using irrationals"
Math studies student: "Stop mathsplaining to me!"

Maxsplaining

When you trap your life long formula one rival in order to explain every little detail about your race or quali session to them without a chance of escape.

Not to be confused with Mansplaining, while similar, Maxsplaining presents clear homoerotic undertones and heart eyes from both parties involved.
person 1: where's Charles?
person 2: oh, Max got him, he already started the maxsplaining
person 1: damn, that's a shame, there's no saving him now...
