A term used to show that you are laughing. Is better than LOL because LOILS is more funny, therefor the joke you are LOILING about is funnier.

Bookend Lols

When you're texting your friend replying with a lol, and then continue on with your own comment and/or joke, and add another lol at the end for emphasis.

Bobby: Yo did you watch last night's episode of American Crime Story? Shit was bananas.

Suraya: Lol yeah it was good, but I still hate David Schwimmer lol.

Bobby: Them bookend lols can't stop won't stop.

To describe the love of your life, or even more than that. Your world would turn into complete darkness or turn upside down without her.

It is in the opening sentence of Lolita the novel by Vladmir Nabokov / Lolita the movie, in which the narrator was obsessed with his stepdaughter which he named Lolita.

It is adopted by Lana Del Rey as lyrics in her song "Off to the races".
