Jaytalking

When someone begins talking while you are already talking and interrupts you. The word can also be applied in situations where people are not supposed to talk i.e at an inappropriate time, during a moment of silence, or even during a movie.

The phrase comes from "jaywalking" when people who cross the street when they are not supposed to and interrupt the flow of traffic.

1. Dude would you quit jaytalking, I'm trying to tell a joke.

2. That guys a total jaytalker, he interrupts me every couple seconds.

JayWalking

When you cross the street through the middle and not at the intersections were you are supposed to. They call it Jay walking, because back in the 1900s in New York people new yorkers would call call tourist jays, and since jays were really impressed by all of the tall buildings they would walk up to the middle of the street to see how tall they were, therefore the word Jaywalking emerged

(verb) When you decide to yourself "aw f**k the man, I'm going to smoke a joint and take a nice long stroll." If you go on such an outing, it is advised to go sometime during the odd hours of the night/early morning when no one is around. This of course insures the full enjoyment of set stroll without the needless worry of attracting any unwanted attention.

After a long day of classes, papers, and general BS, I decided that it was time to go jay~walking. At around 3 AM, I set out to find my campus had turned into a complete ghost town. As I strode along uninterrupted I was able to take in everything around me without the fear of being apprehended by any pestering bystanders or worse, the authorities.
