Hurndon

The original origin of the surname Hurndon derives from Herndon. The surname Herndon was first found in Bedfordshire (Old English: Bedanfordscir), located in Southeast-central England, formerly part of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia, where they held a family seat from ancient times. Old english settlements were establish in East Texas, “ Dangerfield, Mount Pleasent“ area. When the Herndon slaves were free through emancipation and buying their freedom. They made a vow to never be in a form of slavery again. The former slaves change their surname to HURNDON and vow to never quit , give up and show any forms of weakness to prevent further slavery.
