Many people prefer HashiMada to MadaHashi, in which Madara is seme. However, it could easily work both ways with these two. Although this pairing isn't yet as popular as some others, it is quickly gaining speed as more about Madara and Hashirama is being revealed. They make a great couple, and can be protrayed many ways.

He had the wood element, an jutsu style no one else had.(Other than when Orochimaru experimented with his cells and had other people as his experiments like: Yamato, Danzo, Whte Zetsu (Kabuto's doing), ect.) His clan were rivals of the Uchiha clan, so he was Uchiha Madara's rival and it's said he beat Madara at the Final Valley. Despite war and deathall he wanted was peace. He had a brother Tobirama who later became the Second Hokage and a granddaughter Tsunade.
