DisCon (short for disorderly conduct) is, in many countries, a criminal violation which can be used to legally arrest someone.
In the
United States, laws vary by state, but
common examples of DisCon include:
(1) fighting,
(2) making an unreasonable amount noise and continuing to do so after being asked to
stop,
(3) disrupting a lawful assembly of persons,
(4) conduct that is likely to result in serious bodily injury to a person,
(5) conduct that is likely to result in serious damage to property.
In most cases, DisCon is a misdemeanor, but in certain special
situations, like deliberately disrupting a
funeral, it can be a
felony.
