A Dereck is also very humorous, trying to turn a bad situation better. He will do nearly anything to protect ones he is close to. But this man almost always feels like something bad will happen. He will keep his feelings to himself to protect himself from humiliation, or making someone worry for him or about something else.

derack
A term used to describe an incident in which one has been screwed over, injured, robbed, or generally anything negative. Originates from the gym, where a "derack" is when someone removes your weights from the bar while one is still performing the exercise.

Carl: Oh nothing, just Al-Qaeda deracked New York City in a solidly executed derack.
Bob: How many lives were deracked?
Carl: 2,996 lives were deracked, to be exact.

Derick
The most well rounded and talented guy you'll ever meet. Great at so many things, incredibly nice, and extremely passionate. West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
