Delying is defined as someone being hesitant about being completely honest or not being completely honest, when there's no point in lying.

But through guilt or subconsciously coming to themselves to be forthcoming with the person they were not completely honest with.

Johnny & Mike were having a conversation.

Mike withheld information from Johnny that wasn't necessary for him to do so.
After a week, Mike confessed to Johnny that he wasn't being completely honest.

Mike was delying to Johnny.

possibly the best song in the popular broadway musical "Wicked," this song is sung by Idina Menzel and gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it. There are parts for Kristen Chenowith as well. it's right before the intermission and is sung when Elphaba is escaping from the Wizard guards. It's amazing, especially when you see the show in person
