CoCult

Short for Comparison Culture.

A societal phenomenon in which individuals habitually engage in the practice of constantly measuring themselves, their achievements, possessions, and life circumstances against those of others.

This pervasive tendency is fueled by the prevalence of social media, advertising, and the ease of access to others' curated narratives, which can lead to feelings of inadequacy, envy, and anxiety.

CoCult often fosters unrealistic standards of success and happiness, as individuals strive to match or surpass the perceived achievements of their peers, acquaintances, or even celebrities.

This can result in detrimental effects on mental health, self-esteem, and overall well-being, as the relentless pursuit of comparison tends to overshadow one's own accomplishments and unique life journey.
Social media is giving me a big CoCult hangover today -- I need to shut these apps and stop comparing myself to everyone else.

Coulter's Law

From Ann Coulter: The longer we go without being told the race of the shooters, the less likely it is to be white men.
I heard about a horrible crime, but nothing about who did it. By Coulter's Law, it wasn't a White man.

Coulteresque

Having the quality of a politically reactionary idea, statement or principle, used expressely for the purpose of alienating those whose positions are contrary to the neocon idiot espousing them. Coulteresque statements are inflammatory and/or hateful by nature, and are usually directed at intelligent people whose political views are inconsistent with those of ultra right-wing author and crackpot commentator Ann Coulter and those of her ilk.
As I sat in the redneck bar, my ears were assaulted by one Coulteresque statement after another as two drunken neocon idiots demonstrated their ignorance of politics to the other patrons.

mAnn coulter

The "proper" name (mAnn Coulter) given to right-wing evangalist and media "whore" Ann Coulter. The reference to being a Man(n) is due to the fact that Ann Coulter has an unusually large adam's apple.

Other reasons include Coulter looking like a male transvestite with a blonde wig, and the fact that Ann Coulter has been quoted as saying, "I think women should be armed but should not be allowed to vote".

Also, many call her mAnn Coulter because many republican and conservative men think Ann Coulter is attractive provoking the belief that many conservative and republican men are closet homosexuals which is why they so often make homosexuality such a staunch and definitive political issue.
"Jesus, look at the size of Ann Coulter's Adam's Apple. She is so frickin hot dude."

"Firstly, it's mAnn Coulter. Secondly, you are gay."

Ann Coulter Lite

Nickname: American columnist and broadcaster Monica Crowley, so-called because while espousing many conservative views and opinions in common with Ann Coulter, she tends to avoid making the kind of extremist polemic outbursts which have undermined Coulter's credibility as a journalist.
Publically, Monica Crowley is dismissive of the appellation "Ann Coulter Lite", but privately relishes the turf she has acquired as a result of the more favorable impression she has gained by comparison with the better-known conservative drama queen.
