They are saying that life has already shat on them quite enough, there is enough they are already dealing with so don't add to the mess we already have.
This person is usually visibly showing they are upset in some form, of anger, sadness, hurt, stress etc. and need to release that emotional discomfort. They just feel Mucky.
Common to use during conversation with someone complaining of all their problems.
