A Butterflake is a person who believes in the past when there was security in jobs that often included a paid retirement.
They understand that historically change has happened in the work place but they cannot accept that current events would effect them and they have no fallback plan. They are unable to adapt to the current, volatile business environment. The concept of starting over is terrifying to a Butterflake and they do not evolve or think about diversifying themselves in any way.
Most of them are leveraged to the hilt. When they loose their job they cry about it and blame technology, the current president, China, immigrants, etc.
As the name Butterflake suggests, they are fragile. They typically are scared, weak and unprepared for a future they cannot adapt to. Butterflakes try to prove themselves by being extremely outspoken when expressing their point of view.
Butterflakes Politically: They lean right wishing to return society to a time they consider great. A time of good ol boys, cheap fuel, and racial segregation.
Butterflake Identifiers: They are easily duped into conspiracy theory. They often horde guns and stockpiles of ammo. They put exhaust systems on their vehicles that make them louder. The concept of exercise and health isn’t something they concern themselves with.

Automation has completely changed our work place... Couldn't he see the layoffs coming? He really needs to suck it up, stop crying and dig in. This new world is a rough and tumble place. Adapt or die! What a butterflake!

This masterpiece that the English language merely gave the name ‘song’ to features a piano solo that will make you burst into tears. You will automatically assume that the pianist is just the pianist due to the solo’s advanced composure, but in reality (of which you have lost the meaning of after hearing the song) this virtuoso is also the gifted-fingered guitarist, angelic vocals, and song-writer- or more fitting- composer. After listening you may find yourself using British spelling, even though you’re American, talking fast, learning the alphabet backwards, and being a cooler person. Upon listening to all of Muse’s other songs you most likely get the same effect, but this one’s my favourite (hehe… spelling).
